Freight Car Repair FAQs
How do I submit a repair request?
Call 312-896-8516, contact our Service team, or submit a request online for mobile service. For mobile railcar repair, units are available on a scheduled or call-out basis across the U.S. and Canada.
Do you have coverage in Canada?
Yes. Shop locations, on-site programs, and mobile railcar repair units operate across both the U.S. and Canada, with access to every Class 1 railroad.
What is the difference between on-site repair and mobile railcar repair?
On-site programs place a dedicated crew at a customer’s facility on an ongoing basis, suited for fleets with consistent maintenance volume. Mobile repair units dispatch to a specific location on a scheduled or call-out basis for one-off repairs at loading points and sidings.
Can you handle freight car repairs for cars under lease?
Yes. Whether railcars are owned or leased, the same scope of repair services applies, including routine fleet maintenance, compliance work, and emergency repairs.
