Over time we’ve worked with our railcar owners and shippers and adapted to ensure our customers are getting what they need the most. Transco later led to Transco Railway Products Inc. in 1967 and became a part of Marmon in 2019. Marmon, a Berkshire Hathaway company, comprises more than 100 autonomous businesses serving diverse industries and markets worldwide.

Transco is part of the largest repair network in North America. The Marmon Railcar Repair Group includes Transco, Procor and UTLX.

Transco’s reputation for high ethical standards, entrepreneurial leaders, and long-term focus matches the values at Marmon. That’s why we are proud to be a part of Marmon—a strong, growing, global organization that consists of more than 100 autonomous manufacturing and service companies.

For over 125 years, the Marmon Shop Repair Services organization has repaired the tank and freight railcars responsible for transporting 5 million tons of goods each day, serving every major sector of the economy.
